Turmeric Fermented Carrots for a Happy Tummy

Prep:
Peel and cut carrots into sticks. Prepare garlic, turmeric and optional peel.

Brine:
Dissolve salt in water until fully mixed.

Pack:
Add flavourings to jar, pack carrots, cover completely with brine.

Submerge:
Weight down so everything stays below the liquid.

Ferment:
Seal loosely and leave at room temperature for 3–6 days, tasting from day 3.

Finish:
Refrigerate when pleasantly tangy.
